Conventional medicine
Conventional medicine at Primarijus Clinic covers medical examinations, diagnostics, assessment of health and risk factors, and various forms of treatment and therapy. Care is provided by Prim. dr sci. med. Vasa Petrović, with an individual approach to each patient.
What we offer
01Doctor’s examination
The examination begins with a history — a conversation about symptoms, earlier illnesses and the treatment in use. After the history comes a clinical examination by organ systems. On that basis the doctor proposes suitable treatment and gives health advice.
02Diagnostics
In the clinic an auscultatory examination, percussion and an ECG are carried out, and when needed the patient is referred to a laboratory or for other tests.
03Treatment
Treatment continues in line with the diagnostic findings and may include medication, infusion, intramuscular or intravenous therapy, as well as wound dressing.
04Health and risk assessment
The assessment covers a conversation about the patient’s current condition, habits and family history, together with an assessment of vital signs. The doctor points out risk factors for illness and possible complications, with advice and health education.
05Home care
Home care means providing health services at home. The doctor is equipped with modern medical equipment that can be used in your home. The clinic has long experience in caring for patients receiving palliative care.
06Examination with ECG
Primarijus Clinic is equipped to provide an ECG examination in the clinic and at home.
07Wound care and dressing
Care begins with examining the wound, then cleaning it and, when needed, removing what gets in the way of healing. The clinic uses modern materials for treating and dressing wounds.
08Inhalations
An inhalation delivers a medicine or solution directly into the airways. In the clinic, when it is indicated, an inhaler or a nebuliser is used. The doctor shows how the procedure is done and agrees whether and when it should be repeated.
09Intramuscular therapy
Intramuscular therapy is giving a medicine by injection into a muscle, most often the upper arm or the gluteal region, when it has been prescribed that way. The injection itself is brief.
10Intravenous therapy
Intravenous therapy is giving a medicine directly into a vein, in the clinic and under supervision. It is used when a faster effect is needed or when the medicine is not suitable another way. How the patient feels is watched during the dose and just after it.
11Infusion therapies
For revitalising the body and a faster recovery, the clinic uses vitamin infusions and glutathione infusions.
12Vaccination
Vaccination is given according to the indication and the immunisation schedule. Beforehand the doctor briefly checks earlier vaccines and whether there is a reason to postpone. After the vaccine the patient stays for a short period of observation.
13Ear irrigation
Before irrigation the doctor examines the ear canal with an otoscope, to see whether wax is blocking it and whether the procedure is safe. Irrigation is done with lukewarm water or a solution, in a gentle stream, and the ear is examined again afterwards.
